Coronation Street TV Review 10/05/13

We are back for Fridays double episode of Coronation Street on UTV. Tonight we see David Platt taking Max and baby Joseph to the park but he ends up having an epileptic fit. Max manages to use Davids mobile phone to call Davids loving brother for help. Nick manages to find David and the kids in the park and brings them home. After a brief conversation with Sally, Nick finds out that Sally knows all about his affair with Davids wife Kylie.

Stella attempts to apologise to angry Owen (Why is he always angry). Anyway, Owen tells her that he wants his money and not half of her pub and is suing her. Stella decides to put her burned down pub up for sale (Who's going to buy a burned down pub Stella?) and apply for a job as a cleaner in Nicks bistro.

Meanwhile, Izzy is annoyed when she finds out that £200 is missing from her joint bank account with Gary. When she confronts Gary about the missing money he makes some lame excuse that he paid for some building materials. When Izzy asks her daddy Owen about this, he has no idea what shes talking about. Izzy confronts Gary again who comes clean about the missing money. He tells Izzy that he spent the money on Tina's missing ring to show his gratitude for what Tina was doing for them (Yeah right Gary we believe you). Izzy does not seem to believe him.

Also, Faye visits Anna for some tea and later reject father Tim joins them. Angry Owen arrives home and is not happy with what he sees. Owen goes on to tell Tim what a nasty man he is.

Fair City TV Review 09/05/13

We are back for Thursdays episode of Ireland's wacky soap Fair City on RTE 1. In tonight's episode Tommy Dillon is found unconscious in "The Station" by Neasa. Neasa calls the emergency services who arrive quickly. Not long after they arrive Caoimhe Dillon is there also. As young loves dream Luke and Judith get ready to leave Carrickstown for good, Caoimhe stops them in there tracks to tell Judith what has happened to her father. Judith gets into the taxi with her daughter and go to the hospital leaving Luke standing there like a tosser (Little do they know it was Luke that injured Tommy in a fight from last nights episode).

Meanwhile baldy Paul Brennan is having fun playing video games with his long lost son Callum. Hes having so much fun that he does not hear his phone when his daughter Rachel calls him because she forgot her school project and could fail her test. Anyway Niamh ends up having to collect her project and is not too happy when she finds Paul sitting at home playing video games with Callum. She communicates this to Paul like always.

More comedy ensues in Carrickstown when Yvonne give Carol her weekly child maintenance in coins. Carol spends a long time counting her coins with Farrell having a good laugh (It turns out his name is Anthony).

Back at the hospital The Dillon family are very anxious and worried about Tommy with a guilty looking Luke. Judith oddly acts like a doctor in this scene telling her daughters that Tommy has received serious injuries and could end up paralysed.

Fair City TV Review 08/05/13

Here we are back with a bang for Ireland's wacky soap Fair City on RTE 1. We start off in Carrigstown with poor old Tommy Dillon sleeping rough out in the local park after a nights drinking session (Ah yes good old Knacker Drinking, that brings back memories of my teens). Anyway Damien and goodie two shoes Pete Ferguson come across him. Pete more or less tells him to get his act together while Damien looks at him in disgust and does not seem bodered.

Sergeant Deegan decides to keep his mouth shut over Ama being an illegal but tells her to be careful as somebody else could easily report her. It was not a good day for poor old Ama as her job was terminated by Bob from pressure by Deegan.

Carol gets one up on Yvonne Doyle when creepy Farrell (What Is His First Name Fair City?) tells Yvonne he no longer wants to work for her due to a conflict of interests and tells Carol that Yvonne has been keeping her child support to use for her business. With this information Carol with advice from creepy Farrell demands the money she is owed with 10% interest. She has no choice but to agree and is forced to say sorry. Ten seconds later there slagging each other off and hurling insults.

Neasa decides to shut "The Station" early and decides she no longer wants to run it because of her mothers affair with her uncle. She pays a visit to her uncle Luke to inform him of her decision.

Niamh tells baldy Paul that he needs to start acting like a father to Callum instead of his mate. When Callum calls over, Paul tries acting like a father and gives him a lecture about safe sex telling Callum to learn from his mistakes. Callum takes this the wrong way and asks Paul if he is a mistake than storms off like he usually does. They end up meeting up later for a father and son chat to sort things out. Everything is now rosy between father and son. (We Love A Happy Ending).

Drunk Tommy ends up running into his brother Luke at "The Station" which is closed when Neasa shut it earlier. They have some boring exchange of words at the top of the stairs about ugly Judith when all of a sudden like good brothers they start fighting. Luke ends up pushing Tommy down the stairs and is seriously hurt. Tommy asks for help but Luke tells him to drink more alcohol at the bar and leaves. It looks like the whole thing was recorded as Fair City ends with a recording shot from a security camera. Things are not looking good for Luke.

Coronation Street TV Review 03/05/13

We are back with a bang with tonight's episode of Manchester's own Coronation Street on UTV.
Its seems poor old Stella cant afford to pay Owen the money she owes him for the work he
has done to the Rovers Return. It seems the insurance wont pay out the cash to Stella which
leaves her in death. Stella tells Leanne who is shocked because she thought Stella was
upset over bad boy Karl. Owen is mad when he finds out Stella's cheque has bounced. They
manage to fob Owen off but how long will it be before he finds out the truth. Later Stella
confides her news to Karl and Gloria. Gloria comes up with the idea of of asking Leanne for
the cash she got from the sale of the bookies to pay Owen. So they all march over to the
Bistro to tell Leanne of there genius plan. However Leanne agrees to give her the cash if
she dumps Karl.

Meanwhile David takes over pregnant Kylie's shifts at the bistro so Kylie can take it easy.
David is also working in the Salon and is exhausted when he gets home. Kylie feels guilty
as we all know it could be Nicks child she's having.

Hot Eva heads off on holiday and has some strange verbal exchange with Tracy before she
leaves. I think her intention was to make Tracy jealous.

Peter continues to wind up Rob at the bookies. He hatches a plan with Steve to place some
complicated bets so Rob will struggle with the maths. Peter slags him off and Rob gets
angry. A suspicious Carla sees Peter handing Steve over some money and demands to know what's
going on.

Eileen is worried when Fireman Rob comes home late after his first day at work but returns
home to tell Eileen he has booked there wedding and has organised for them to see her son
Todd before there wedding.

Fair City TV Review 02/05/13

Here we are back for Thursdays wacky Irish soap Fair City on RTE 1. It seems Carol now works in Leos Taxi office and is not happy when one of her enemies Farrell shows up to do some legal work for Leo. Farrell seems to have a soft spot for Carol and tells her he does not agree with Yvonne's treatment of her lately. They bury the hatchet somewhat and Farrell ends up doing Carols job when Carol needs to leave the office for awhile.

Callum starts his new job at baldy Paul's garage but does not seem to take instruction's from Ray very well. He ends up storming off in  a huff. Later baldy Paul convinces Callum to give the garage another chance.

Amas bag gets stolen in the Hungry Pig with her precious rosary beads but refuses to go the police. Garda "I Use To Be Important" Deegan gets suspicious as to why she will not report the crime. You see Ama is an illegal immigrant and is afraid she will be caught and deported.

Meanwhile Tommy Dillon gets angry when he learns Pete and Luke have pitched for work on Luke's next project and threatens to quit. He tells them to choose between him or the job but when Damien and Pete choose the job over Tommy, Tommy storms off in a huff.

Fair City TV Review 30/04/13

Here we are back for Tuesdays episode of Ireland's wacky soap Fair City on RTE 1. Tonight's episode mainly focuses on baldy Paul and his long lost son Callum. Paul has invited  Callum to his daughters Ruth's birthday party. Paul tells Niamh that he plans to introduce Callum to all the family. Niamh does not look happy but theres nothing she can do. As the party gets started, Callum seems to be mixing well with Paul's family and everything seems great. Callum is introduced to Caz and Bella Doyle. Paul makes a boring speech welcoming Callum to the family. Niamh does not seem pleased and reminds Paul that its Ruth's party.

Meanwhile the Bishop family are making some enquires about Callum to Charlotte. Some champagne and mp3 players are gone missing. Deco seems mad that Callum and Charlotte were kissing in the Lock Up (Shed) while Zumo Seems only worried about the mp3 players. Hard lad Father Paddy tells his sons they need to sort this out.

Back at the Brennan house everything is Rosy until theres a knock on the door. As Rachel opens the door the Bishop brothers come busting in. Deco says he wants Callum outside now in a loud voice. An argument starts between the two families with insults flying. Vivieann and Ray take sides with Deco and Zumo. Deco accuses Callum of stealing from the lock up and being all over Charlotte (At this point Caz chimes in and says "Hes his fathers son alright". I thought this was funny) in front of the whole Brennan family and friends. As things get heated an angry Vivieann retreats with her family (You see shes the head of the family). Everybody ends up leaving Ruth's party and Niamh says its ruined. Niamh blames Callum and tells him to get out but baldy Paul is having none of it. He tells Niamh that Callum is his son and not to make him choose between Callum and her.

Meanwhile Dermot and Jo's secret relationship is finally rumbled when Orla invites herself in to talk about the Brennan gossip. As she waffles on she hears a phone going off and finds Dermot behind the coach. To make a long story short she agrees to keep the news quiet.

Eastenders TV Review 30/04/13

Here we are back in Watford for another review of Eastenders on BBC 1. Michael Moon plans to kidnap his own daughter Scarlet after realising that he is no chance of beating Janine or her money. However Janine catches him in the act and talks him out of doing it. After a brief chat Janine softens her approach and they agree to stop fighting. Michael gives Janine access.

Meanwhile Sharon continues taking pills she shouldn't be taking. First she steals Tanya's cancer pills and now shes buying them off dealers.

Kat and Bianca play tricks on the market inspector including putting a sign on his back and putting salt in his tea. The market inspector retaliates by suspending there stall.

Overall a boring episode and lives up to its name as a depressing soap. I think my review reflects this.

Fair City TV Review 28/04/13

Here I am back for Sundays review of Ireland's wacky soap Fair City on RTE 1. We start off with Young's love dream Luke Dillon and his brothers wife Judith walking together through Carrigstown in a show of defiance to show everybody they are a couple now and they have nothing to be ashamed of. Nosey Esther sees the couple and says its disgusting seeing them like that, its incest. (Yes Esther, you do know its only incest if there blood related.) Anyway they decide to head to McCoys pub to promote there new relationship although Judith is a bit apprehensive but is talked into by her hunk Luke. As they go into McCoys, Tommy is in the pub with Pete talking about football when they see couple. Tommy storms out of the pub when he sees them.

Meanwhile baldy Paul is all excited about going to the car auction with his long lost son Callum. Niamh is not happy but puts on a brave face. Callum arrives at the house were they talk about there mutual love of cars and Callums Joyriding past. (Hes a lovely fella really I swear.) Later they decide to go for a drive in one of the cars in Paul's garage when they get a puncture. (I hate when that happens.) As there changing the tyre local thug Deco Bishop shows up giving them abuse and beeping his horn. Callum tells Paul he will handle it and squares up to Deco were they both insult each other. Callum cant control his anger and picks up a wheel brace off the ground with the intention of hitting Deco. Baldy Paul steps in and tells Callum hes a bold boy. Callum tells Paul he cant start telling him what to do and storms off in  a huff. Paul ends up asking the man who was giving him abuse two minutes ago Deco to help him change the tyre. Deco says Callum is rougher than he looks and goes to change Paul's tyre.(He sure is Deco when hes coming at you with a wheel brace.)

Dermot Fahy and Jo are still pretending that they are not back together. Dermot pretends hes sick so he can stay in the house and have a romantic night with Jo. (God this is stupid.) Anyway Orla calls around with some wine and a DVD as she believes Jo will be on her own and Dermot is just there because hes sick (Silly Girl if she believes that).

Callum goes off with Charlotte Bishop to the Bishops dodgy shed to drink some alcohol. When they begin to kiss Charlotte's brother Deco shows up. Deco and Callum shout and trade insults yet again. Callum ends up leaving with some items he stole from the Bishops shed in his bag.

Paddy is happy to see Ray and Vivienne Bishops relationship turning sour when Vivienne finds out Ray lied to her about the Ruth's party. However Ray explains later to Vivienne that he only lied to her because of the tension between her and Paul. He invites Vivienne again and she accepts.

Coronation Street TV Review 26/04/13

Here I am back to the cobbles of Weatherfield for tonight's two episodes of Coronation
Street on UTV. Tonight's episodes mainly focus on Gary's growing obsession with Tina and
Tommy's suspicion of Gary's motives. Things start out good for Tommy when he invites Tina out
for lunch and she accepts. However this is short lived when Gary interrupts with news that
he found Tina's missing ring that recently went missing. You see Gary travelled the length
and breadth of Manchester in every pawn shop to find the ring. Tina is delighted and Gary
looks like a real hero. Tommy is suspicious and tries to tell Tina that Gary is in love
with her. He trades some insults with Gary but is made out to look like a right tosser.
Tommy storms out in anger. He later runs into Gary's girlfriend Izzy and warns her about
Gary but she seems baffled and does not take what he says seriously. (Poor Izzy, We Know
How This Is Going To End For Her.) Meanwhile later on in the Windass household, Gary's
mother Anna finds a receipt for large amount money in Gary's clothes for the pawn shop.
Getting suspicious she confronts Gary about it but he says he was just doing something
nice. (Yeah Right Gary We Believe You).

Ryan meets up with Katie and asks her to be his girlfriend. Katie accepts and now there
Young's love dream. Poor Chesney wont be happy when he finds out.

Meanwhile scary Mary seems to be hitting it off with Dev's kid.

Faye's decision to move in with her father Tim is not working out as planned as hes going to
the pub and leaving Faye on her own. When Tim is home hes tired and just goes straight to
bed. Faye puts on a brave face and says its OK but it obvious that she is disappointed and
bored. It does not take a rocket scientist to work out that she will end up returning to
live with Anna.

Eastenders TV Review 26/04/13

Well here is my first review on 2j.org of Watfords very own Eastenders on BBC 1. Tonight's
episode focuses mainly on Liam Butcher and his former gang leader Kane. Anybody ever notice
that the bad evil guy in TV programmes are always called Kane. Anyway, the episode starts
with a frightened looking Liam trapped in his home with Kane. Kane tries to reassure Liam
that everything is OK and that they are brothers (Yeah Right Kane, Pull The Other One). He
tries to convince/intimidate Liam to drop all charges and withdraw his statement against
the gang. He goes on to say everything will be OK again and he will no longer be known as a
"Grass". Not surprisingly Liam does not believe him and tells him he wont do it. Kane gets
angry and Liam tries to run out of the house but is unsuccessful. Kane catches up with Liam
and begins to assault him until the fiery red head herself Bianca opens the front door and
jumps on top of Kane. Kane is no match for Bianca and her screaming with Masood and the
other Eastenders lackeys having to pull them apart. The police are called and Kane gives
Bianca the evil eyes as hes taken away. Bianca realises that Watford is no longer safe and
calls ex Ricky butcher to arrange for Liam to live with him. Liam packs his bags and is
given the famous Eastenders farewell walking through the square past the market as his
family oddly wave at him with smiles on there faces. Maybe there happy hes going as they
can live in peace now and not have there house attacked anymore. Who knows in the wacky
world of soapland but no doubt we haven't heard the last of Liam or evil Kane for that
matter.

Also in this episode Ian goes to see Janine Butcher about a business proposal but she ends
up leaving her lackey Billy Mitchell in charge as Ian is horrified to learn that he has to
impress Billy. Ian sucks up to Billy and is impressed with his business proposal. However,
Billy says he has to run it by Janine and Ian does not look too pleased to hear this.

Meanwhile Janine is off to playgroup to see her daughter Scarlet after an invitation and
some flowers from Michael Moon. Michael is trying to get Janine on side as he realises hes
no match for Janine or her money and fears he may lose his daughter. Freaky Alice is also
there to help Michael.

Fair City TV Review 25/04/13

I am back for the Thursday review of Ireland's favourite wacky soap Fair City on RTE 1. In today's episode we see bald Paul Brennan attempt to get closer to his long lost son Callum who awakes in Paul's house after last Nights drinking session. Niamh is still not happy with Callums presence which causes tension between Niamh and Paul. Baldy Paul however admits to Callum that he was hoping the paternity test was negative but now that he knows that Callum is his flesh and blood, he is proud to call him his son. Callum seems happy with baldies words but in soap land theres never a happy ending and I'm sure theres trouble ahead for these two.

The Dillon's are still at war with each other with Judith phoning her only son Zach to tell him the dirty deeds she has been up too with his uncle Luke. Not surprisingly Zack hangs up on his Mama. Later in the episode Caoimhe catches her loving mother and Luke together in the surgery. After some screaming from Caoimhe she gives her Mother an ultimation, its a choice between Caoimhe and her siblings or Luke. Judith chooses her children and Luke gets dumped for the 20th time (Poor Luke). However later on in McCoy's pub Judith changes her mind again and decides to choose Luke. Poor Luke yet again proves that he really is a door mat. Caoimhe comes into McCoys and sees the two love birds together and after some more screaming tells her mother she wants nothing more to do with her. Local scumbag Deco Bishop gets involved and offers Caoimhe some moral support escorting her from the pub. Something tells me that Deco has impure thoughts going on on his head but I could be wrong, maybe he is Mother Teresa.

Also in this episode Ray tells Paul he would like to invite Vivienne to go with him to Ruth's party. Paul with his evil voice advises Ray not to bring Vivienne Bishop to the party. Meanwhile Paddy Bishop is still watching Ray and no doubt is planning something sinister.

Nothing too exciting happening in Carrigstown tonight.

Coronation Street TV Review 24/04/13

Just watched today's episode of Manchester's very own Coronation Street on UTV. Today the soap focuses on the very confusing love triangle between Ryan, Katie and the father of her child Chesney. You see Katie cheated on poor old Chesney over the past few weeks but according to Katie she only made one mistake so they should give there relationship another go and Chesney should trust her no matter what (Only In Soap Land). However over the past few days Katie and Ryan have been sending text messages to each other and when Chesney confronts Katie about these text messages she storms out of the house and says there relationship is over. She then gets all dressed up and decides to go out to town and let her hair down so to speak. When she arrives at the bus stop she mysteriously runs into Ryan. Without a second thought the two of them decide to go into town together where Katie ends up getting drunk and making a holy show of herself. Katie ends up staying in Ryan's place to sleep off the drink. Ryan's mother Michelle warns him not to sleep in the same room to which he complies reluctantly.

In today's episode Katie's angry father is wondering where Katie is as he had to mind her child while she stayed out late. Chesney on the other hand feels a bit guilty (I Don't Know Why) and decides to buy Katie some flowers but don't you know he sees Katie and Ryan together looking very touchy feely out in the street. He confronts Katie and shuffs the flowers into her hands and storms off home. When Chesney gets home he tells Fiz that he is finished with Katie and its over. Poor old Chesney, the Gingers never have any luck.

Also in this episode Leanne is worried that "Bigamist" and "Drunk" Peter Barlow is sending there bookie business down the swanny.

Tommy Duckworth tries to get close to his pregnant ex Tina but finds it difficult as Gary is always around like a bad penny.

Fair City TV Review 24/04/13

Tonight I decided to watch Irelands favourite wacky soap opera Fair City on RTE 1. The programme started off with the ongoing and annoying love triangle between Judith Dillion, Tommy Dillion and his brother Luke. Judith and Tommys hot daughters Neasa and Caoimhe just found out that there uncle Luke and mother Judith were having an affair after there drunk father spilled the beans. With there squeaky D4 accents (There suppose to be from Kilkenny) they express there anger at there mother by screaming non stop about how bold she is for cheating on there father. However Luke tells them that Tommy gave them the "OK" to have the affair. With this news they storm out of the house.

Next we see bald Paul Brennan standing in his sitting room holding the results of the paternity test to find out if angry Callum his son. You see Callum was conceived after 1994 USA World Cup Match between Ireland and Italy were Paul supposedly had sex with Callums mother. Paul opens the results and we find out that indeed Paul is the father. Pauls wife Niamh is not too happy at the news and Rachel (Callums new baby sister) is the only one who seems pleased with the news. As you do in Fair City when your angry Callum storms out of the house. Rachel tries to run after him but Paul tells her to go up up to her room. As Paul and Niamh argue Rachel sneaks out of the house to look for her long lost brother who she finds at the pub. Callum ask Rachel for some money so he can get drunk as a skunk and she happily gives him the money.

Meanwhile we head back to the Dillion Clan were Judith goes to the "The Station" to try and make amends with her daughters but is more or less told to get lost.

Rachel decides to go back home and tells Paul that she found Callum and reveals that she seen him near the "The Station". Paul decides to look for Callum and finds him passed out from too many pints at "The Station". Paul ends up bringing him back to his place to sleep off the drink.

Back to the Dillons were Tommy and Luke goad each other in a very boring exchange. Judith returns home and ends up kicking both men out of the house.

In this episode we also get to see evil Paddy Bishop stalk poor old Ray who has romantic thoughts for Paddys ex wife Vivienne.

Fair City is always a barrel of laughs for the wrong reasons.
